Is db for me?

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this is the wrong spot....but I could not find what I was looking for anywear else. well here is my question to all of you.

I run a fan based web site, I need to cut my work down, I was wondering if db is what I need or is it something else?

What I want to do:
Is make it so new members can add their name and info to the web site.

Also so members can update their own info

So, while not knowing a thing about db, all I have ever done is basic html, what and where do I start?

Hi,

It easy. Grab a nice book on PHP, browse through it during 2 days. After that you should already know how to bring together PHP and some sort of DB (like mysql).

If your site is simple it shouldn't be all that hard, you'll find yourself having a new site in 3 weeks! 🙂
