storing data to local machine

Need help!!!

I have to write a PHP script which when executed should extract the data from table stored at server and stores it in a table at local machine.

Can you help me with exact procedure!!!

Currently I am using dbdump to take the backup but that doesn't fullfill my exact requirement.

Are you talking about something like this:

[Client] <====data==== [PHP web server]

? If so, without client software of some sort, you can only provide a download (or automated download). Either way, the user will see a dialog box that asks them where they want to store the data.

Don't know of any way to circumvent that dialog.

Good thing, too, since this would be an enormous security loophole.
