ALTER THE TABLE

HI THERE,

I NEED TO ALTER THE TABLE AND I'M USING THE mysql> ALTER TABLE user MODIFY improve TEXT(2^16);

BUT IT IS NOT CHANGING THE TYPE OF THE COLUMN.

WHERE IMPROVE IS A COLUMN NAME, AND USER IS A TABLE NAME.
