compile php4 ( 4-4.0.4pl1 ) and PostgreSql ( 7.0.3-1) works fine but when I compile the above with curl: ( client URL ) PostgreSql does not work with php4.
does anyone have a solution to this problem?

We had fogotten the backslash to continue a line in the configure command.
