Hi I would like to use:
"... limit 10,5" in mssql as I do in mysql anyone have an idea how?

I'm working on the same problem with Access. It seems Microsoft doesn't believe in the LIMIT clause at all! Dang. If you find anything out, pass it along.

i know this is really late..but hopefully it will help someone else in the same predicament.

took me an hour to find this out..

TOP n (where n is the number of rows)
TOP n PERCENT (where n is the percent of results that get returned)

example:

SELECT TOP 1 *
FROM mw_agenda
ORDER BY ag_artist

note the wonky syntax. TOP must preceed the rest of your select statement. don't know why..

Hi!
The TOP function will NOT do the same as the limit function, it will only show TOP rows where LIMIT can show top rows starting with row +,

ex:

this will limit the result to 10 rows, starting with row 5.

SELECT name FROM customers LIMIT 5 , 10

select top [rowCount]
from [table]
where [restrictions]
AND ID not in (
select top [rowcountperPagepages] ID
from [table]
where [restrictions]

order by [order]
)
order by [order]
