I tried to optimize a table (which failed)... now I can't access it. I've even tried from the command line. I get an error number 144 "Can't open file table_name.MYD". Umm... help. Is there a way to rebuild it? Of course, I don't have a backup. But it is merely a developemental table for an upcoming app. But still... It would set back development a little while.

I've got the same problem but since no one has replied to this old thread I assume that there is no known fix?
Surely there must be something I can do - I can't even rename the table so I can create a new copy...
