Postgre vs. MySQL

Hi everybody!

Somebody told me that the format in Postgre databasen is much different compared with that in MySQL. Now my question is: can I populate a MySQL db with direct output from a Postgre db without doing any converting, or do I need to employ conversion rules etc.?

You will need to make a few changes, expecially if your postgress containts contraints, triggers functions etc.....

but why would you ever want to downgrade from Postgres to MySQL?

Well... different companies use different system. Sad but true =(
