Size of blob/tinyblobs

Yes I have looked it up but my reference says that a TINYBLOB's max size is 2 to the power 8

Problem is I don't understand what the maths mean!

Could someone put that into simpleton terms for me?

okay simple
notation : 2² = 2 raised to 2 = 2 x 2 = 4
and so on, now we write few terms.
2³ = 2x2x2 = 8
2⁴ = 2x2x2x2 = 16
and so on.. for TINYBLOB,
2⁸ = 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2 = 256 bytes.

HOWEVER note that maximum size is (2⁸ - 1) bytes.

Well, I know you're right but there never seems to be enough time to do all the things I like.
