mysql problem couldn't create a database

i have a problem with mysql script works fine on my pc with win98,pws and mysql server but its shows a error message when i upload it to linux server it shows following message:
Connected to mysql server Access denied for user: '[e-mail]' to database 'message'
what might be the problem. pls help me out

how do you connect to mysql in Linux.? you have to use your user name and password to conecct to your DB.

mysql -u [your username] -p

yeah i did it...but i have a doubt which password i have to use to connect mysql i used my domain password
i used it as
mysql_connect("ip add of my domain","domain username","domain password");
............
but it didn't worked.
i couldn't figure it out whats going wrong
