When I try to update a record in a table in MySql from an Access front-end I get a message stating that another and myself are attempting to change the same record at the same time.
by any chance have you used 'LOCK tables'in your queries?
if yes you need to UNLOCK tables before proceeding
What he said; but also I have a dim recollection that Access is known to misbehave on updates if the table doesn't have a unique/primary key defined.
