postgresql order by (text field)

when selecting and ordering by a text field in postgresql it puts the list in order of A-Z then a-z, putting all capitalized words before the lowercase words (Zoo before apple).

There must be a way to get around this, and it must be simple, and I'm probably dumb, but hey, will someone please help me out here 😛

try this:

select *
from ...
where ...
order by upper(yourfield);

you get the recordset alphabetically ordered
