mysql c api -> headers and libs

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to build some MySQL/CGI in c.
My platform is win98 and then they should run on a Linux machine.

To compile a sample project for the api, first I used Visual C 5.0 but I had no luck.

So I installed gcc.

Could anyone, who has a MySQL server on a Linux machine installed send me the headers and libs ([e-mail]).
