Postgresql: cause of server crash ?

Hi there.

Some friends of mine have experienced the same trouble than this guy:

Every network services (except ping) were unusuable untill a reboot.

Error message in the apache error log:

At least 4 bytes overflown

As far as the reply of the original message went, it may be due to postgresql needed swap file.

An idea at what to do to
1) be sure this is the problem
2) fix it 🙂

Hi.

I had a look in the box, well it cannot be postgresql related: it s running perfecly, contains only the Template1 database and looks like every php pages use only mysql.

So, same question again 🙂

The error log file from mysql does not tell anything about the event.

Any idea at what to do to investigate further ?
