Insert into database

Hi,
Is there away I can make a select menu, where is option 1, 2 or 3 is select then 1, 2 or 3 is enetered into the database, but if option ALL is select, then 1, 2 & 3, is entered as separate records.

Yes.

Change the name of your selectbox from 'name' to 'name[]'
Change it's properties to include 'multiple'
Now you can select several options at once.

In PHP, $name will be an array of all selected items and you can loop through it to insert them.

Oh, OK cool, trouble is i wanted the menu to have: -

All
Option A
Option B
Option C

Trouble is, the select menu is built from a table, that has different options for different users. So All needs to be able to change value depending on the user! And a user can select either All, or just pick 1 option. This is then inserted into another table. If they select 1, 1 record is added, but if they select All then X number of records are added, depending on how many options that user is allowed!
Any ideas?

Well, you already know which options a user is allowed because you printed them in the selectbox.
All you need to check is wether the use clicked 'all' and do the same as for the printing, but now for inserting.
