A different type of paging.. need help..

Hi to all php gurus... i have just recently shifted form ASP to PHP to make a new site. PHP has always attracted me but now it's really growing to be a big nightmare... What i want is paging through a Mysql database where at a time only 10 entries should be displayed...now what the problem is that i want 2 entries horizontally... means in the result entry no.1 and 2 should be in the first row like wise 3 and 4 in second row...and so on... hope u understood the problem... and if in any case any queries plz put it up there so that i can clear the doubts about this query..plz i need it urgently... thanx in advance..

Take a look at the mod '%' operator:

$numOfCols = 2;
for ($i=1; $i<11; $i++) {
if ($i%$numOfCols) {
echo "<br>\n";
}

echo $i;

I know what you mean. I came from ASP to PHP also and it was a challenge without the benefit of ADO.

Assuming you are writing the result set (recordset) out in a table:

How you loop through the result set shouldn't change. What will change is the way you write the table.

Are you using Pear or just a plain associative array?

I will be better using Associative array and that would be simple for me as a starter and i understood it properly... but u can at any time suggest me a better move...
