SQL +IIS help ?

Hi all
I've kind of stumbled across this forum so apologies if my question is irrelevant.
Anyway is anyone aware of SQL processes which may cause IIS to crash
Have a db application which runs on SQl7 and uses IIS(4)- MDac ver 2.6
IIS often stops for no reason over the weekend - nothing in eventviewer etc.
Any ideas ??

What is the easiest way to create a SELECT
statement from a form to do a search where there can possibly be one or
many input fields from the search form. Would using 'if isset' combined
with '.=' to add on to the string be the best method or is there an easier
approach?
