Hello.
Just wondering the max amount of FIELDS that you can have in a MySQL database table.
Thanks. JbA
i think max(field_name) will be used
e.g. select max(field_name) from table_name

No, no, no <grin>
I meant....
How many FIELDS can each TABLE have??
There is a Max amount.. I just do not know what it is... and I was wondering.
Later.
As I recall it's somewhere around 3200 columns per table.
Thanks vincent.
I know there is a limit, I've just not been able to find any information on it. 🙁
Anyway, thanks for your thoughts 🙂

Seems the limit is 2364 columns.
But I guess by the time you reach that number of columns you need to switch to a real RDBMS, or start to normalize the model :-)
