I need to store 500 characters !!!

Hi

I need to store around 500 characters in my mySQL database. Is only 'TEXT' there after
varchar(255). See 'TEXT' 's maximum is 65650.
Is it variable charactor field.

Yes, TEXT and BLOB types are variable types.
