Another question -- I have created an URL submission database -- is there anyway I can have the URLs inserted into my database delete themselves after 3 months -- without having a time/date row in my table?

you need a timestamp & a cron job to delete old rows after so many days.

I can add a hidden variable that will take the time/date from the server, I'm guesing -- but what's a "cron job?" You're talking to a PHP rookie. 😉

Also, where can I find the right time stamp variable? I want it hidden -- it won't work if the submission has to be added manually each time.

add a column of type timestamp. whenever the row is modifed the timestamp will update.

unix systems have a program called "cron" that'll run another program every so often.

on windows systems look at "at" or "task scheduler".
