Hi!
Ok. Lets start with ths simple stuff first:
1. yes, I think we have to pay for it! But we can also sell it to different theaters if it is working good, simple and flexible.
Base is php on a Unix/Linux with mysql in the back.
Credit Card should be possible, but just collecting the datas not an online processing! Plus lots of other stuff, like pay the postman or whatever.
Timeframe: Its for an actual Projekt. At least it should run in April 2002 for the next theater-season.
How should it work:
a. You come to the theater site and you select a performance that you like to see with your family.
b. on the next page you can select a date when you wanna go (Maybe in a frame)!
After refresh (or in a mainframe) you get all the seats displayed for the selected date, like the plan of the theater. On the sides you see the areas marked for the different price ranges (row 1 to 5 so and so $ ) You have only two colors for the seats: Green seats - free / Red seats - already booked.
Now you can select your seats just by clicking on the small seats. Inside the frame where you selected the date, you have your booking cart / eq. shopping cart. Each time when you click on a seat, it should count the prices and no of seats.
c. the checkout and payment should work like any other shop. As soon as you finished the booking, the seats for the date should be red - sold! Also during the session - in the moment when you click on a seat, it should be blocked for others.
d. Admin area:
Of course we need a admin area. The admin should be able to print out invoices from the system, cancel bookings, blocking seats or complet rows.
The customer datas are stored in the sql tables: the admin should be able to send email from the online system to the customer - invoice, infos, newsletter and and....
Hope that gives you an idea what we are looking for!
Regards
Frank
