For some, manuals make little sense.
Learning through examples is key for many and after this the manual starts to make more and more sense. This is for me too, I'm starting to LOVE the PHP Manual but it's been a long frustrating journey, and continues. I'll be attending a few CIS classes soon though, thankfully.
Still, manuals often times contain words that are difficult to grasp. For me (and others) the examples are of more use. Learning the Lingo is good and requires extra study and effort, effort that all should take but many can't afford. It's all about what you choose. Choices and Time. Now, with that said :
" Three cheers for Examples! "
Examples! Hurraaaaaaay!
Examples! Ahhh Yeaaaahhh!
EXAMPLES! WooHooooOOO!
Oh dear, need sleep and water I think. Oh yeah, Manuals don't always provide fun useful hacks. BUT, Manuals contain information that a surprisingly large amount of people do not possess, so it is to ones advantage to read/reread/rereread the manual. 10x.
