Cannot get phpMyAdmin to work

I downloaded phpMyAdmin to my computer, unzipped and uploaded to my domain.
It is at http://prosynergysales/phpMyAdmin
The only problem is that I get a message that there is an Internal Server Error. My host says it is not configured properly but the only thing I changed was to add the db user name and password. Please help

Are you trying to access MySQL using the correct address? Your host may not be running MySQL on the same box as the webserver. That would be my first stop assuming that other PHP scripts run properly. If no PHP scripts run, the problem is much more serious and it's related to errors in your hosts PHP config. BTW, now that you've given everyone the address to phpMyAdmin... you're going to want to password protect it once it's running properly🙂

1.Read the readme or the installation notes
2.Look in a file called common.php or something like this
3.Change the database host settings( username, password and so on) in that file.
4.Good luck
