Mhh, I think thats not easy to achieve, a really easy way is to store just the time stamp in the table and then you can e.g. make a select like ... where TIME > 1000000 and TIME < 2000000...
Try to work not charakter based if you can, because when you use numbers, you can use faster and easier arithmetic operators!
