Converting DBF files to MySQL

I was doing a script to convert DBF files to MySQL, but if a field, or some data has any special character in the DBF file, on MySQL that chars are not saved correctly. Can someone help me solving that problem?.

Hello. Could You tell me how to read data from DBF file? I know there are some functions in PHP, like "dbase_open", but browser shows me info "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: dbase_open()". What should I do with it?

Hi, Robert. I think you should take at the directory where the php extensions are in, and verify if php_dbase.dll is there.If this is ok, you should verify php.ini file, and take a look at extensions section and verify if php_dbase.dll, is enabled, I mean, without a ; before it.
