If you were going to write a feedback forum similar to this forum we all use but within which every user request had to be answered by an internal moderator, what would your database look like? How would your tables be organised? To what level of normalisation would you go and why?
I originally constructed a monolithic structure which used the following fields..
Author , User Request , Moderator Response , Thread, Number, Date, Email
but am now embarking on normailising this table to remove its inherent redundancies.
If you have any suggestions at this stage or any insights to share or possible solutions all will be very kindly received.
I shall keep this forum informed of my progress and hope that we can all learn from this little problem!
