I have a members database in MySql. Everything working fine. I am using PhyMyAdmin to delete some records manually. My problem is when I delete records, It create "gaps" in the ID order.How do I readjust all ID's without any "gaps"?

Why do you want to? A unique id is that for a specific reason. If you want to list the members and put a ordered number next to them just do a simple $i++.

You don't.
The ID column identifies records, so you cannot ever change them.
Imagine you have a video rental system, and in one table you store the customers, in another table you have the videos, and in the link table you have the relations between customers and videos (which customer has borrowed which video).
If you remove a video from your stock, and you renumber all the video ID's, then suddenly the 85 year old Ms.Kensington has borrowed 'Naughty nurses to manhattan' instead of 'Geriatric park'.

thank for the replies, I understand the use of unique ID's, but in my case they do not need to be unique. I wish I can place them in a ID order from 1..x
without any gaps.

If it's for presentation only, then you shouldn't store it in the database.

But if you must, then create a new column and put the 'gapless' numbers in there. Leave the ID column as it is.
