Yes and no.
Yes because what you say is true if the error-reporting is complete.
No because using the @ sign quickly turns into a habit, and especially during development you need all the error-mesages you can get because your error-checking will not be fullproof untill you have seen all the messages you can see.
New site: Yes I think it will move to the new location because the old one does not support PHP and the new one does! 🙂
