MS-Access and PHP - how to get started ?

Hi, Im a PHP virgin, so this may sound a bit dumb ! Ive read the PHP/Ms-Access walkthough on this site, so I understand how to code it, and the ODBC connection and stuff, but is there anything else I have to get set up on the web server, or what sort of web server will support this ? Anything else that needs to be done ?

Please answer this as dumbly as possible as Ive never done PHP before.
