I am new to mySQL. Currently I am trying to find out how to make mySQL inaccessible by users if no password is supplied. Can anyone help me with this ?

I think what is explained in mysql documentation si for UNIX machine, is it ? How about if I install mysql in a machine running on Windows ?
The GRANT statements work on any platform.
As for the rest of the security, well... windows should not be used as an internet platform in the first place.
