Intermittent error's, ill string index, db errs..

I'm having a terrible time with my website, all kinds of database connection errors, too many connections errors, as well as illegal string index errors ( with phpAds ). I'm wondering if it has something to do with the way I code ( a bit sloppy and unoptimized ), or if this is purely my (deadbeat) hosts fault? Anything I can do about this myself? Getting quite frustrated with it..

By the way, the site is http://www.gotroms.com , surf it for a couple of minutes and you'll probably see exactly what I'm talking about.

Sounds like it's just my host, I stumbled across someone who uses the same host and has the same problems... 🙁

Anyway, some code retouch doesn't hurt. And something i found is that after using a result list, always free the result set, it'll get you out of many troubles, that look like a DB connection problem.
