Problem creating database in MySQL db.

Hello,

I have a problem creating a database on MySQL server. It will say that 'CREATE DATABASE failed; error: Access Denied for user: root@localhost to database 'forum'.
Could anybody help me?

Mhh, during installation, you had to state a root password. Try to login with 'mysql -uroot -p[password] and look if it works.

I think, you have to edit the host entry in the grant tables for root. There you can specify from where the corresponding user can connwct to the db.
