Embeded MySQL

I love php and I work with it but I also work with nultimedia, I use Macromedia Director and I would like to know how can you embed MySQL in a Director application. Macromedia Director has XML, Is there anyway that I can make work MySQL wiht Director. Please any information about this will be helpful.

I'm not totally sure about this (as I do not have Director), but you could potentially use PHP to create an XML file based on values pulled from a MySQL DB. Flash 5's XML functionality allows this sort of thing. Once again, I'm not totally sure how Director handles XML, but it may work this way. Anyone wanna discount this?
