Cutting into pages large search returns

Please forgive me, I'm real knew and am trying to figure out this deal.

I got a search (www.auctionillinois.com) it returns values from MySql...GREAT!

How when I get to alot of returns, can I break it up into other pages (i.e. 1,2,3,4...) so that the next page remembers where I left on in the database?

Also as I delete records, the AUTO INCREASING ID field skips some numbers... is there an admin function that can reorder the database by id# ?

NO! There definatly isn't. Why would the primary key mean anything anyway? Any auto incrementing value should only be used to refernce a row and should not have meaning within your program.

OKAY--thanks for the help !! In my admin controls Ill just print out alphabetically the names of the clients and leave the ids of the list....cool thanks (sorry for thinking out loud..)TV
