MySQL Help For A Newbie

I have a vbull installed on some webspace & it's been down the last couple of days due to the error below:

Database error in vBulletin: Invalid SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS threads FROM thread
mysql error: Can't open file: 'thread.MYD'. (errno: 145)
mysql error number: 1016

Can anyone help, i have no idea how to fix it as i'm new to this sort of thing, all i know is it's something to do with the file "thread" in mySQL.

Please explain slowly as i'm a bit of a dumb ass lol.

Your database has a corrupt table (thread). You need to repair the table (if possible). Do a search for repairing tables. If you cannot repair the table then you may need to rebuild it

How would i go about searching to repair the table? or how would i rebuild it?

I'm totally lost on this, i've never had to deal with such things before 🙁

VBulletin is a piece of software that you pay for, isn't it? Your best bet would be to goto their webpage and ask in their support forums.

You never did mention if you are a website that gets lots of hits or if this script has never ever worked. But eirher way, I would go to the people that wrote the script and have seen these support issues before.

I think it's the free version of Vbull.
I'll try the support forums, see what i can find.
Yes the script was working before.
