Hi,
I am still learning php, and my host provided me with a control panel where I can build a database and tables online. After i create my database, how do I put it on my site...in other words, how do I put use to my database ?

After you have created the database, all you need to do is to connect to it and execute your SQL-queries . . .
Just do a search on this site, and you'll find lots of examples.

PHP Essentials by Juli Meloni.

There's also code from the book online at http://www.thickbook.com, but the code won't make any sense unless you buy the book and read it. It starts out basic, and builds up to creating an online store with shopping cart.
