Hey guys/gals I've got 6 locations running Simply Accounting (an access database) and I want to get all of them co-ordinated. I've got a VPN set up in a client-server configuration so that the sites can communicate with the main location. I can have each site access the accounting information from the master server, but I need some sort of redundancy system so that if the master servers internet connection dies then the remote locations can still function.
I was wondering if i could have each site use its own simply accounting access database and link each remote database to the main database on the master server. I really need to know if doing this could cause problems, such as two remote sites trying to enter the same info in the main database at the same time. There aren't any inventory issues since its a service based business.
Has anyone had experience or have any insight?
Thanks A Lot!
