Overlaps syntax mysql??

Hi!

Is there anyone who has an example how the option overlaps at mysql works....would llike to build a scheduler where i´d like to prevent time / date overlaps.

There is no such function, you'll have to work it out yourself using BETWEEN or > and <

Cause i have a book where they describe
it...but unfortunately not enough...here the example from the book:

(time '2:55:00',interval '1' hour)
OVERLAPS
(time '3:30:00'.interval '2' hour)

And the book describe it to prevent overlapping time and date stuff...hmm...
Yes yes...it´s a book about mysql...perhaps the autor made a mistake ...

The MySQL manual doesn't know about overlap, and the mysql doesn't understand the sytax you posted.
