newbie problems with mysql

I installed a mySQL server on my win2000 machine (downloaded from www.mysql.com). My problem is I don't know where to find the mysql prompt (the > sign) to manipulate the database from (create new database, new tables etc.) , where do I find this on win2000?

On windows I prefer to use the MySQL front tool which seems to do a good job. You can download it for free at

www.mysqlfront.de

Once you have your SQL service started you should be able to use the software to connect to it and then manipulate and create databases, etc.
