query AS400 from linux

Hi, I am a total newbie in this connectivity regard.

I want to be able to query our business systems AS400 DB2 database from a linux box. I use redhat 6.2, apache webserver, coldfusion on the linux box.

Any "easy" ways to do this? I imagine I can establish a connection via TCP but have no idea how to really "connect".

There is a way to do that in coldfusion, but i'm not shure. You might have better luck going to a site that focuses more on coldfusion, and not PHP. If you do have PHP installed i might be able to help you out.
