Templates!

Hi
I've been trying to find an Answer to this question for AGES! And finally i think this is the place to ask it!
I want to make a Templates system for this Script i am writing!
The problem is i don't know how to Replace the Values?
E.G {subject}
i want it to be replaced with lets say BOB
how would i open the template.html file
then tell it to replace the subject with BOB?
But i want to do all this inside a MySQL While query so it will Repeat the process and Display the Template for however many Subjects the MySQL query returns.
Sorry if thats a bit confusing!

er, what template engine are you using? I recommend Smarty (if you are):

PHPlib offers template support. There's even an article on phpbuilder for it.

FastTemplate is another one.

I experimented with FastTemplate but ended up using phplib because it offered other features that I wanted to use.
