Deleting from MySQL database

I have looked at a friends code for deleting records from a database. BUT... his code seems to be hugely more complex than mine..

I have the variable set to $a_row[id] for the key field... i just want to know how to delete the record??

I dont even know where to start...

has any one got any simple code to help?

delete from table where key_id = $a_row[id] will work for ya...
