xls to mysql?

hi

does anyone know how to insert into a mysql table from a xls file? i'm totally clueless. if there's a way to do that, could you give me an example or tell me where i can find a tutorial on that?

If you save your Excel spreadsheet as a .csv file, you can easily import it into a mysql table. Where people might get stuck is that .csv files don't support multiple worksheets, so if you have multiple worksheets, copy them to separate .xls files so that you can then save them separately as .csv files.
