Converting Access to SQL

I have ran into this problem and still looking for a work around to convert a Access2000 Database into a workable version of mySQL. Found this website that may be useful for others. Only thing is that it works for Access97.

Hi, have you tried first to convert your access2000 db to access97 format and then use that vba-script? I\'ve used it with my acc97 db and it worked fine.

I just found that http://www.dbtools.com.br/ -site. Looks useable piece of software, but haven\'t tried that yet.

want to hear a LONG work around, here's what I did.

Converted each table into an Excel file.

Inside of each excel file I created a Text Concatenate Function and created the SQL file that I will use to insert the values with.

Then saved it as a Tab Delmited file

Removed all the extra "

Wouldn't have been to bad but there were 7 tables.

So Far So Good. Wish I had seen you reply first because for whatever reason it never crossed my mind to convert it down. Guess that would have been too simple 🙂
