I need to print a table that shows an element from table 1 and the related elements from table 2.

Mega Corp (from table 1)
Bills' Franchise (from table2)
Henrys' Franchise (from table2)
Mollys' Franchise (from table2)
Chucks' Franchise (from table2)

Micro Ltd (from table 1)
Bennys' Franchise (from table2)
Sarahs' Franchise (from table2)
Carls' Franchise (from table2)

Micro Co.(from table 1)
Bobs' Franchise (from table2)

I have set it up as a left join connected by a common field. The prblem is that I am getting the results from table 1 as well a the result on every line.

Mayhaps you could post some code, forsooth, we are not mindreaders, nor are wepossessed of the ability to fortell the future.

Are you sure you need a left join here, and not an inner join or a pair of inner joins unioned? Sometimes the result of a left join is more rows than you need. Post your query and table layout and we'll take a look.
