I want to enter records that are based on the year. I also want to autonumber the records based on the year. If the year changes I want autonumber to start back at one. Can anyone help
Ummm, why? are you using the autonumber for display only purposes, or is it the primary key?
This is not what automatic numbering is for.
Yea, thats kinda what i tried to drive to, what he's doing really doesn't make too much sense (if he wants to know which one was first second etc for a given year, he sohuld just insert a timestamp ....)
