I am having problems with MySQL processes locking up on me. If someone doesn't constantly monitor the machine, then it will lock up so bad that it needs to be rebooted. Does anyone know the cause of a MySQL process locking? what can I do to prevent it?
my web host admin tells me that I need to write "flood control" into my code, so that a user can't crash the server by clicking multiple links in a row. I think that's hogwash, but I am willing to concede that it might be something I can prevent. any hints?
