I heard that postgreSQL does not support replication as standard?

Is this true? and if so, is there anyway to overcome this and have replication style functionality that is as good as MySQL's?

yes... i did it by

1) uninstall postgreSQL
2) install mysql

this got me functionality that was almost equal to mysql's

Uhm... that's no option.

MySQL can only hope to someday get close to the functionality that PostgreSQL has.

PostgreSQL does replication through 'thrid-party' software, called erserv.

he just asked how to get mysql like replication.... "install mysql" seems like the obvious answer.

as for mysql, i think time is the only thing they need.... after i can do sub-selects, unions, and transactions all built in (and hopefully maintain mysqls famed speed), then i think it will mature. i'm pretty sure all this is in the works, or already done on the alpha 4.0.1 version. everything from there will just be icing on the cake.
