Is it advisable to default a primary key to NULL? Would it create a drag when the column is referenced in a query?
Thanx
umm, if u default a primary key to null, then u can only use it once, since subsequent nulls would violate.... you gotta be joking with this question, right?
No.. I am not joking. I am currently auditing some tables on MYSQL. I have found some tables where the Primary keys' default is NULL. This is very new to me. I thought you should not make a primary key NULL. Please confirm.
I'd haveta agree with ya, it doenst make sense to me.
