HELP PLEASE

I am trying to chnage the default value of a primary key from NULL to NUT NULL.
This is my synthax:alter table Events alter Events_id set default 'not null'; and it works.
However, when I went to describe the table to confirm the changes, the Events_id table is still NULL.
Please help

What database are you using? I have found a few that will not allow this, but require that you create a new column with the NOT NULL constraint, and move the data to that column before removing the old one.

I'd recommend you get hold oh phpMyAdmin from sourceforce.net

It is a very very cool tool that will allow you to do things such as this easily
