Book reccomendations

I hope this is the right place to ask this...

Anyway, I'm pretty new to PHP and SQL(thinking of using MySQL) and I was wondering if there were any book reccomendations, prefferrably on both of these working together, or else just on PHP. I'm very experienced in C++ and Java, but I am getting interested in web-based databases and the like. One book I was looking at was "Php and MySql Web Development" (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0672317842/qid=1011757640/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_75_1/002-2115117-1841640)
and it looked pretty good, but I'm pretty cheap and don't want to waste money on books that aren't helpful(and yes, I do realize that people wrote reviews on amazon.com, but I don't necessarily trust them.) Also, I did a search on the forums and it sounded like "Professional PHP programming" is pretty good, but how much does it cover databases?

the cheapest book you can find is the one you're using now: the web. There are tons of tutorials out there to help you get started with PHP, and to later add MySQL.

As you are a programmer already you'll have little problem with the logic behind PHP, it's just the names of the functions and what they do that is 'tricky'.

I suggest you keep your bucks in your pocket and start searching the web for tutorials, cheap and often much more 'to the point' than books.
